New Zealand's eight universities are all ranked in the top 3% globally, offering world-class education in a stunning natural environment. With over 200,000 students overall, individual campuses range from about 3,000 to over 40,000 students. All universities run two main semesters (Feb–Jun, Jul–Nov) plus optional summer school, and award degrees aligned to the NZ Qualifications Framework (Levels 7–10) with external quality assurance (Universities New Zealand/CUAP, NZQA).
